Emotional Yersterday

Yesterday was a very emotional day for me. It was all because of my period that I’m having for over a month. My mother and Floyd (boyfriend) have been bugging me about this so I eventually gave in to them and agreed to go see a doctor for a checkup. Before, I was hesitant (actually I didn’t really want to) because everyone here was telling me I might undergo a Transvaginal Ultrasound! Of course, I don’t want that. Imagine, that thing going inside of me (either way)?! Noo way! It might be just a simple thing to some of you but for me, it’s a big deal and might bring me all sorts of problems.
So to continue the story, like I said, I agreed but half-meant agreed. We (Me, my mother and Floyd) were all set and ready to leave the house yesterday morning when I acted out and told them that I don’t want to go. Floyd got mad at me and my mother walked out of the house - in other words, we had a fight. Floyd was extremely mad at me to the point that he hit me. He said they were all doing this for me and yet, I acted like a kid. Of course, that made me realized some things and calmed down.
Since my mom walked out, Floyd insisted that we leave without her. Originally, I’m really okay with that but since I was emotionally not okay because of him, I told him that I need my mother. After an hour (at around 11am), my mom showed up and so left the house and went to our neighborhood doctor. The doctor said that in my case, I really need to go through that transvaginal thing and so she referred us to the OB-Gyne.
“The dreaded moment has arrived!” - that was I told Floyd. I was really really nervous. Good thing the doctor’s a woman. LOL Before we proceed, she asked if I’m still a virgin or not. If so, it will be anal. LOL Because of my nervousness, I really acted weird and told her either way is fine! LOL
To make the story short, the result was that I have a 7cm ovarian cyst and I need to undergo an operation. I wasn’t really shocked when she told that but the shock came afterwards I guess.
To my fellow Filipino readers, do you know how much an operation will cost?

Naku, ate Rozeh it’s still a good thing na nagpa-check up ka na. I mean, that could still get worse. Kaso nga lang it’s still a problem sana malagpasan mo yan. Take care always, experience din yan. I’ll pray na maging successful yung operation mo, and maoperahan ka na agad as soon as possible. Pray always and God bless ate Rozeh!
Kaya mo yan rozeh-sama ^^ don’t be afraid.. it’s better to go through it now when everything is relatively ok..kung patatagalin pa lalo ka lang matatakot and baka lumala pa..
dadalawin ka na lang namin…

Aren’t OBs usually women?
Anyway, if you needed an operation, do it now. Since it has something to do with your ovary, it might cost you complications later on. XD

wuoah?! My cousin’s classmate is the same as you, i mean th period thing. She has this period over a month then she will have her period for the next 6-7-8 months. I dunno what’s the problem but the doctor said, in her case, it was abnormal thing in woman’s hormones.
Maganda na yung maaga pa lang nag-papacheck up nah at magpapaoperate kasi hindi natin alam kung anu pang complication na mangyari, d bah?
Everyone is like that, though not everyone… scared at first kasi there some things na ayaw natin malaman at mas mabuti pang nakabaon lamang ito sa lupa.

I’m sorry about that. At least you came to a doctor for help before things got worse. I hope you get better soon.
oh no. that’s scary. hope the operation would be successful and you’d get better.
sorry, no idea how much it costs.

it is sad news indeed.*prays, so that everything will be alright soon….*
i’ll be on ym if you ever need to talk.
about this thing, as I have told you, I’ll try to ask my friend who faced the same situation as yours. Sa St. Luke’s siya nagpaopera kaya I think mas mahal dun pero at least within range naman siguro.
alam ko na malalampasan mo to Ate Rose. ung friend ko nga eh, magseseventeen pa lang siya and naovercome naman nia, kaw pa kaya!
